
Lin Myat, born in 1990, is a dedicated guitarist, songwriter, and music educator based in Yangon, Myanmar, with a passion for pop, jazz, funk, and Brazilian music genres. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of West Yangon (2009) and a Diploma of Music from the Eulogia Centre of Music (2013). Lin has been involved in the Myanmar music scene since 2016, releasing his first pop EP in 2019.
Lin’s career started off as a music teacher in various private and international schools, including MEBC, Dorian Music School, MLA InternaSonal School, Kaung Htet Kyaw Private School, and Sage Nursery School, from 2016 to the present. He is also a member of "Inappropriate Thoughts (iAT)," an independent record label supporting emerging alternative sounds in Myanmar. Currently, Lin has served as both an administrator and guitarist at the Myanmar Jazz Club (MJC) since 2022. Additionally, he actively contributes his musical talents as a guitarist for "Salty Wishes," a pop band, performing at diverse bar gigs. Lin is also a member of the Jazz/Pop ensemble "Arsina," where he performs for corporate events. Beyond his teaching and performing roles, Lin works as a freelance songwriter and guitarist, dedicating to his upcoming solo projects.
